Just Understand It’s Part of His Plan

Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”
John 13:7 NLT

One year ago today, on September 12, 2020, I obeyed an unusual request the Lord had of me. I did not understand why He wanted me to do what I did at the time, but I trusted Who asked me to do it. Today, as I announce the pre-order of the first book I have the honor and privilege to be a co-author in, ‘Centered in Christ: Steadfast & Immovable Devotional Volume 1’, I understand this seemingly bizarre act serves as divine confirmation; it assures me I am on the path He has for me! 

The Lord is faithful. We can trust Him. We may not understand what He is doing when He is doing it, but really all we need to understand is it's part of His plan. He is working all things for our good for those of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). But, how much He is able to do through us is up to us, based on our relationship with Him. The more we know Him, the more we can trust Him and the more He can use us.

I’m grateful I did not miss this assurance I have from Him regarding this co-author opportunity because I didn’t understand His direction a year ago. I obeyed and I am glad I did. By faith I just had to understand it’s part of His plan for me! A plan that will prosper and not harm me; a plan that gives me hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11)!
